If you couldn’t tell before, I’m a pretty neutral dresser. Too much pattern has always sent me running, mostly because I’m not always certain how to curate looks with it. This dress was different though. Something about the effortlessly flowing floral caught my eye and drew me in. The palette is obviously more fall than spring, but I’m breaking the rules and going neutral with this look.
I’ve always been a fan of supporting local small businesses and I purchased this dress from a boutique called Catherina in my hometown of Pittsburgh the last time I went back to visit. The pockets provide such a nice added touch and they are what sealed the deal for me. #jackpot I also like the length of this dress. It hits just below the knee and the cut cinches my waist, giving more of and hourglass shape– which I will always welcome as I am more vertical than curvy. In fact, if I hear someone say only “real women have curves” one more time I might lose my marbles!
The shoes are by Coach and I love the simple straps that attach as snap-on’s so they don’t suffocate your ankles.
It’s spring! Give yourself the gift of a beautiful dress and tweet me your photos or tag me on instagram using #modspringdress
